Thai Tigers to Be Killed on Bird Flu Fears

BANGKOK, Thailand -- Authorities will kill about 40 tigers believed to be
sick with bird flu after 30 others died at a private zoo, officials said
Wednesday.

The tigers, which have all died since Oct. 14, are among more than 400 at
the Sriracha Tiger Zoo in central Chonburi province. All are regularly fed
raw chicken, which could have been infected with the bird flu virus.

The decision to kill the tigers came after seven more tigers suspected to
have the virus died, bringing the total to 30 after other deaths announced
Tuesday.

Although the virus has most commonly been found in chickens, scientists
fear it could mutate by linking with a human flu virus, sparking a global
pandemic.

G*dd*mn idiots. If you can not take care of your animals in a zoo, and
wind up killing them with "raw chicken which was infected with Bird Flu",
release them back into the wild where they belong in the first place so
they at least have a g*dd*mn chance.

*sshole zoos should be banned, and natural habitat RESTORED for all those
held captive.

"Helping the animals" my *ss.

Restore the habitats destroyed or being destroyed, find the money to do it,
or get the f*ck out of your perspective countries and go live on
uninhabited islands, you've brought nothing but death and destruction to
those who were there long before you arrived.

Well, we all know "they" are never going to do anything like that.

Keeping animals caged in Zoos, or in Sea Worlds, or wherever, is just too
g*dd*mn profitable.

That they would actually rather throw their money into captivity centers
like that than actually find ways to restore natural habitats where all the
animals came from, belong, and should be returned to, speaks more volumes
about a total lack of human character than Shakespeare ever could.

Ah, yes, but a profit is a profit, and profits make the world go round.

When most of the wild animals and natural habitats are gone, though, the
humans are going to take a sh*t.

The Zoos and Sea Worlds and Etcs, though, will still be making a killing.

Literally. Just like they are now.
