Hair Drawing Buyers
The New York Times - May 1, 1968

Ticket purchasers yesterday found two steady lines at Hair. The line extended eastward about 50 feet from the Biltmore theater, 47th Street between Broadway and Eighth Avenue to the parking garage. The other one ran about 60 feet westward to the Granada restaurant.

At 6 P.M. a spokesman estimated that sales for the day amounted to $14,500 for the rock musical hit which opened Monday night.

RCA Records will make a second album Monday of the Broadway presentation. An album was issued when the show played at the downtown Public Theater. Norman Racusin, RCA Records official, said the new album would be significantly different from the first.
