A Survey of A Summary of The Status Quo aka America’s Democratic Collapse
I was working on a review of an article by Chris Hedges about the best and brightest when Mike Blaxil posted on MB CIVIC this article by Hedges. In one article Hedges has done a masterful job of giving us a balance sheet and p&l of the state of our nation in real terms not only financial. There are so many articles about specific maladies we all become over saturated. This article is like going to an old fashioned family doctor, probably a homeopath, who gives us a holistic report on America. I repeated Mike's posting because I want to say MUST READ. Change *We* Can Believe In
Perhaps a bit of history however let us recall where we were at not so long ago. Let us hope he does not forget where we came from. MBPosted by Michael Butler, Thursday, November 13, 2008
Film Review: Bobby
Do see this film. A docudrama which really shows many slices of America at a critical time in our history. A great film quite different from what one might expect. Emilio Estevez does an excellant job directing and acting. The roster of important actors starts with Anthony Hopkins and Demi Moore. Martin Sheen and Laurence Fishburne increase the range of approachs, Freddy Rodriquez does an outstanding job as the busboy who cradled Bobby. I had tears at the end from what we lost and my deep personal memory of Jack and Bobby. How different would our world be if Bobby had lived. MB Enclosed the Amazon information page as it shows so much information though the DVD is not yet out.Posted by Michael Butler, Saturday, December 2, 2006
