Ralph Nader may not enjoy great popularity. It is difficult to disagree with what he has written in this article. He misses a point of writing how Mussolini turned Italy into a corporate state. Hitler took those fascist dictums even further. What we are seeing with GM is where bankruptcy has become the solution of decades of mismanagement and given billions of public funds because they had become "too big to fail". So wipe out most of the human elements but keep the corporation. We, the people are caught between a lobby dominated government and the corporate structure. We are the last to be considered. A real lack of social conscience. mb

Rarely do I double post an article. This was posted earlier today by Mike Blaxil on MB CIVIC. If you missed it I am making up by seriously suggesting you give it a serious read. We are entering a period of unknown, uncharted stormy waters. Major changes will happen, probably not as quickly as many would like. The future could be bright if we are capable of understanding that the current system will not allow us to survive. mb

Latest from my favorite blogger. It deals with the weirdness of individuals in the Republican party. Also the weirdness currently inflicting the philosphy of that party. These positions bring forth a real concern for the health of the GOP. Our system depends on two strong parties. Imagine the future with only one party while the other wallows in the World of No controlled by neocons and fundamentalists. mb
