Paul Krugman: Forgive and forget? – International Herald Tribune

If we do not clarify the crimes of the past administration we will continue to go down hill from the days when Bush Sr and Clinton forgave serious violations of our legal integity. I do not push for prison. Clarification is the most important aspect to be accomplished. Perhaps after that has been accomplished the majority of Americans will want a dictator, emperor or fascism At least they could go that direction with some knowledge. As it is now with so much obstruction it is very difficult for clarity. As I truly believe we have been led down a dark path I do wish we had something like to ancient Greek action of ostracism. If we do not make such determination we will leave to our descendants not only a staggering debt but far worse a serious violation of the Rule of Law. MB

A Survey of A Summary of The Status Quo aka America’s Democratic Collapse

I was working on a review of an article by Chris Hedges about the best and brightest when Mike Blaxil posted on MB CIVIC this article by Hedges. In one article Hedges has done a masterful job of giving us a balance sheet and p&l of the state of our nation in real terms not only financial. There are so many articles about specific maladies we all become over saturated. This article is like going to an old fashioned family doctor, probably a homeopath, who gives us a holistic report on America. I repeated Mike's posting because I want to say MUST READ. MB
