Challenging Indian Land Trusts

This article about the BIA (Bureau of Indian Affairs) shameful rip-off of the Indians is a report long overdue. What is going to be done to rectify the problem remains to be seen. It involves billions due them. It brings to mind a personal story. I was very concerned for the Indians. My grandfather who was a rancher used to tell me tales about the US treatment of the Indians. When JFK was running for President we supplied planes for his campaign. This photo was taken of him reading that he had won the W. Va. primary a major step to his victory. He asked me if I would like to go back to the Middle East or India for him. I said I would prefer to run the BIA. He said, "why do you want to get into that snake pit?". I replied that I wanted to disband the BIA and let the Indians run their own affairs. It never happened as Dad wanted me to stay home to help him on some family matter. He would pay my salary during Jack's second term and I could work him for $1. That never happened. MB

The US-NATO Preemptive Nuclear Doctrine: Trigger a Middle East Nuclear Holocaust to Defend “The Western Way of Life”

This doctrine is truly frightening. It makes 'Dr. Strangelove' so apparent. One can imagine the chanceries over the world reacting to such a plan. No matter how unrealistic it may be in actual happening they will be fearful. So the mantra of fear so dominating our government will now be exported to nations worldwide. The MIC (Military Industrial Complex) must be delighted. How can we expect other countries not to want nuclear capabilities. There can only be one solution - Peace - and the coming together of nations to solve the world's problems. Greed through the pursuit of economic hegemony will bring us all down. Money is truly becoming the route of all evil. MB

The Gulag Comes to America:

Bill Alterman sent this serious story. You would feel that such a situation could not happen in America. We recently have witnessed the firing for political reasons of attorneys of the Justice Department. This despicable practice of using Justice for political ends has been practiced by both parties when in power. Such actions have damaged the rule of law aspect of our system of government. Proper respect for law has been a pillar of our system. Perhaps the most obvious violation in recent past was the persecution of Judge Otto Kerner. Kerner, the former Governor of Illinois, was asked by Pres. Johnson to prepare the study on Civil Rights in America. This study, prepared with John Lindsey, Mayor of New York City, became know as "The Kerner Commision". It was a major platform for the Democrats movement in Civil Rights. When Nixon came to power, he and Mitchell used the Justice Department to frame Kerner. This was finally proven when their Oval Office tapes were recently released. James Thompson, later Governor of Illinois, used this case as his stepping stone to election. Nixon and Mitchell used the Democratic movement in Civil Rights as a tool in the white south, damaging the Democrats to benefit the Republicans, a condition which lasts to this day. MB To make full disclosure Otto Kerner was my mentor. A more honorable man never existed as I, and my Father, would attest. MB

This is What A Police State Looks Like [VIDEO]

Bill Altmiller says, "wow this was ok in 2002 just think how it is now" This is probably the reason so few protests have happened these couple of years. The government has moved more into the realm of the fascist state. Can anyone look at this and not be concerned. What starts out a peaceful protest is morphed into violence by the strong arm tactics of the authorities. Of course the government wants to instill fear by making such protests seem violent. Most violence from the crowds has come from the reaction to police brutality. We saw that very much in Chicago 1968. Now 40 years later it is much more controlled and the media is very subdued. That is the way it starts.MB

AlterNet: Where Would Obama Take the Nation?

This article successfully explains the primary positions of Barak Obama. This is why we need someone who will brings us to a change. A sea change-one that is profound in many ways to bring us out of the morass in which we find ourselves. Jack Kennedy gave us some hope of a great possibility for the future. It was not a gift. It was going to require some serious work to overcome the fear so many have of change. Forever Changes-is that not the mantra of life as it exists on this planet? We do need more of same. We need an administration which respects the position and spirit of the Founders of this great experiment in government. We need someone will talk before a fight. We need a government which realizes that there are far greater problems in the world than our creating an American Empire. Why are the young so flocking to Obama. He represents hope in a country which is really concerned about its future for our children and grandchildren. The young are aware and very concerned about their future if we follow the status quo. United States - International Diplomacy - Waving Goodbye to Hegemony

thanks to Stu Yahm, I send on one of the best overlooks I have seen about the actual and emerging new world order. The opportunities are great if we can only rise to the occasion. That will be very difficult, if not impossible, unless America starts to suppress its arrogance. That is going to be such a stretch when our politicians thrive on puffing us up. And of course to slowly deflate a balloon is not easy-just observe our handling of the current financial bubble. MB
