That phenomenon was central to the world of George Orwell's 1984. And now, with all the security devices and loss of privacy protections, we are coming into the Big Brother is Watching You phase. Whooppee! Seriously, though, we seem to entered a world with too much information and too little knowledge, much less wisdom.
