Vetoed Iraq War bill_required privatization of oil

Vetoed Iraq War Bill & Oil1.pdf

The following is a transcript of part of the speech given by presidential candidate, Dennis Kucinich, to the West LA Democratic Club yesterday. I believe it should be put onto all of your list servers and sent out. Obviously, our media will not cover this important issue, so it’s left to those of us who network to make it known. I’ll enter this onto some blogs, but please feel free to do that too, and go onto kos and comment. Also, letters, calls, and e-mails to Congress. Again…just in case any of them will react to citizen outrage.

Finally, there’s proof that we are in Iraq for its oil. We are killing tens of thousands of people so we can keep our oil consumption going at current levels with higher prices & profits for Big Oil. Our leaders might have chosen to spend all the Iraq War money (borrowed) on speeding up production of alternative energies. Did you know that we came close to having really cheap energy around 1905? Nikola Tesla, the genius inventor who settled in America, had a way to send electric energy WIRELESS around the world around the turn of the 19th century. A convertor plant could be built right next to a waterfall or other energy source, creating electricity that could be transmitted through the air using the stratosphere and the Earth itself as conductors. J.P. Morgan agreed to back him, and they built the first tower. Then Morgan backed out and tore the tower down. Why? Because he realized he couldn’t control the output, meter it, and therefore, couldn’t justify what he wanted to charge people and companies for it. I just read that in the book by NASA astronaut Gordon Cooper, “Leap of Faith.” This was just one of Tesla’s magnificent inventions. He died penniless in a New York City hotel, and the FBI raided his hotel room for information on his inventions. They had already raided his California office and taken priceless models and papers. (I highly recommend Cooper’s book. It is available as a book on tape, too.)
