A SOCIETY IN WHICH THE PEOPLE FEAR ITS GOVERNMENT IS TYRANNY.
A SOCIETY IN WHICH THE GOVERNMENT FEARS ITS PEOPLE IS FREE!
Our government (both Democrat & Republican), this administration, have supported the elimination of our constitutional rights; has allowed the the use of the military against US citizens (Waco Tx.) & imprisonment of US citizens without trial, and has stated that any one that is not with them is against the USA, a traitor.
This administration has claimed powers no executive branch has claimed in 230 years of American democracy & freedom!
Did you know that the current administration, the US is spending 51% of every dollar on the military. We spend $776 billion a year on the military while 43 million people have no health insurance, Millions of our citizens are out of work (no longer accounted for after their benefits run out, yet still are unemployed), and still in need of assistance, and the response of our government; “There’s just no money”; yet the the US military budget is now larger than the next 25 biggest spenders put together.
Something is wrong when our government… civil servants(?)… have given them selves massive pay raises over the years. Has your pay check gone up percentage wise as much as theirs???
The CEOs and the good old boys, are stealing from the worker, middle management & the stock holders when they take inflated salaries, in excess of 500+ times that of the average worker!!!
SOMETHING IS VERY WRONG!!! Don’t you think?
HOW MUCH LONGER ARE YOU & I GOING TO TOLERATE BEING THE FREEST SLAVEs IN THE WORLD?
It is as tearful a story as any war brings up. What I don’t understand is why his mother isn’t getting more support from the military in looking after her son. I thought the US was second to none in that department, or is it that she has opted to go it alone?
As for the message of getting out of Iraq, I am reminded of the reaction of the Iraqi people to their countrywomen winning the middle-east TV talent show, which surely must have been reported in the US. Suddenly, Sunnis, Shiites and Kurds are all jumping about, hugging each other.
Now if that’s what it takes to bring peace, forget Macdonnalds and lets get Simon Cowell et al over there and start a raft of TV talent shows! That’s one thing the US still knows how to do, to the point of infinitely boring distraction, which quite obviously the Iraqis (along with their neighbours) are up for.
How can the insurgents continue to operate in the face of an Arabic ‘X Factor’? The battle is to win hearts and minds, and if this does the trick, however spurious it may seem, then so be it.
Incidentally, I understand from a recent news broadcast that the Iranians are not Arabs. I wonder how many of you out there were also not aware of this crucial information. We are somehow expected to know these things, but are left to pick the most basic facts out of a mire of politicaly slanted mumbo-jumbo that we are bombarded with each day.
Now, it seems the Iraqis are gagging for a massive dose of mumbo-jumbo, and who is by far the best qualified to give it to them? Who has the Professorship in mumbo-jumbo but yours truely?
Many truths are spoken in jest. It’s best that we don’t forget it.
