Ever since I read the editorial in the NYTimes about Martial Law it has hung around like a black cloud over our Constitutional rights.Then when this letter was sent I realized this is a most important subject which needs to be seriously considered by all of us. A detailed and sober approach from an expert who has been at the firing line. He was one of those responsible for the current Iran situation due to the Carter administrations non-suport of the Shah of Iran. The Shah was certainly a mild actor on a stage of autocratic dictators prevelant in that part of the world.
Brzezinski certainly knows more of the "Great Game" than the neocons who have put us in this Iraqi mess.MB

Notwithstanding what are your politics this constant growth of the military-industrial establishment must give you concern. Forget the social or ethical problems just look at the terrible waste when our infrastructure is in such real need of upgrade and repair. MB

Cheney, is the Dark Force who is directing an incompetent President. George Tenet, head of the CIA, is just one member of this nefarious cabal. What about such as Perle, Feitz and even more so Wolfowitz, who like the others have been rewarded. Wolfowitz is now the head of the World Bank. Let us pray that the Democrats don't play politics with these "high crimes and misdemeanours" and really bring justice to forefront. MB

This is a subject coming up more often than anything else. Here are two good opposing views which should bring some clarity. If we had the parlimentary system this administration would have been voted out by now. Perhaps, as mentioned here before there is some way to do the same as in the original democratic form-ostracize. MB
