But he is right, of course, about the"explosions" that threaten not only our ecomonies but our very existence. The solution has always been around, though we call it by different names, and nowadays it is considered simplistic to say that we must care for one another, be ever mindful of how an individual act resonates on the whole. Without evidence for this, I do believe that the earth is large enough and could be productive enough for all of us. Most famines are exacerbated by war; illnesses can in many cases be eradicated or made less virile. We have yet to discover all the healing plants and minerals on this earth. Crop size can be enhanced. Hunger is an obscenity that must be wiped out, and we could do all this with cooperation and effort. In the 80's, I read a book that I cannot remember the author's name. It was about the downfalls of America economy and taught me to buy natural resources. I am glad I did.
