666 The Beast
Well that day has arrived. In Los Angeles, I don’t know about the rest of the country, but we have been exposed to many billboards all in black. Large symbols in white: 6 + 6 + 06.
You have probably seen this notice. It is certainly an ominous reflection of something unpleasant for today. The notice below brings about some interesting thoughts. Read it and the thoughts expressed afterwards.
I guess not enough people are ready to go to Iraq even with the bonus money given at sign up!
“US Mandatory MILITARY DRAFT for ages 18-42 quietly snuck in by House Republicans! As described at http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c109:H.R.4752.IH: on February 14, 2006, Congressman Charles Rangel (D-NY) introduced a bill (Universal National Service Act of 2006 - HR 4752 IH) aiming at drafting everyone - men and women alike - from the ages of 18 to 42 into the military for a minimum period of 2 years. Or to quote the bill: “To provide for the common defense by requiring all persons in the United States, including women, between the ages of 18 and 42 to perform a period of military service or a period of civilian service in furtherance of the national defense and homeland security, and for other purposes.” The House is to convene on June 6 (06/06/06] to debate and possibly adopt this bill, that is, unless a vast public outcry succeeds in derailing this insanity, which you can do by writing a letter of protest to your congress person through http://www.conservativeusa.org/mega-cong.htm or http://www.webslingerz.com/jhoffman/congress-email.html
So how does one react to this possibility of a draft? If you are a liberal or progressive you probably will react against this draft. You want to protect as many people as possible from such peril. Particularly you want to protect our youth. Currently our armed forces have a system of signing up as a Volunteer. There are people who for employment reasons will choose the military as a career. Some just for patriotic reason will go into the military. Therefore why have a draft?
Another point of view is that all citizens should bear the burden of defending the nation even if it means fighting in wars of aggression. So a draft is the proper way to spread the responsibility.
The dark side to this proposition is interesting if one was trying to usurp any peace movement there should not be a citizen’s army as portrayed by the Founders of this nation. This would have to be accomplished by the draft. Having such a draft would draw on all walks of life. Surely such an approach would create a vocal and strong opposition to any wars except in proven self-defense of the nation. This is what happened about Vietnam.
A so-called volunteer army can also be referred to as mercenaries. Those members are more dependable than those who have been pressed into service. They are not going to oppose a war party determined to overthrow other national regimes for any reason. They do not have the political clout to create as much of a threat to the military-industrial establishment as would draftees in a conflict in which they question the motives of the leaders who sent them.
From all sides of the proposal it is doubtful this bill will pass. However most interesting is that the debate on the draft will start 6.6.06. And you know what that date refers to!

it is the birthday of Nathalie Geld..My favorite Lady friend in L.A…We did a Cafe together on Sunset Blvd (91-93) called Babacool on Sunset….She is tremendously Beautiful…she is back to modelling and acting and writing now…C.

As we all know, we have the otherwise amazing Abe Lincoln to thank (or not…) for the “standing army” - which was anathema to the Second Amendment, which provided for a “well regulated militia,” but not a standing army as such.
As for the draft, true it would pull from all walks of life - including the sons and daughters of mayors, governors, senators, congresspersons, secretaries of state, vice presidents and presidents. However, they have always found, and will continue to find, ways around sending their children.
Although I am opposed to a draft (heck, I’m opposed to war in any case), it is worth noting that the Israeli system - in which it is mandatory that every single young man and woman spend two years in the military immediately after high school - has produced the greatest fighting force (especially air force) other than the U.S.

It renders is an UN-palendrome so not to worry. oc cary it on a bit more mystically; if you add it all up, 6+6+06=18, then 8+1 = 9, which is COMPLETION); or 6+6+2006=20=2, which is LOVE, so where’s the harm? Cancel/Clear the negative, accentuate the positive…I am such a pollyanna….I would see the beauty in a snake about to strike, and yes I would grab that final strawberry & embrace tiger too…(!)~Alisa

No one delibertly designed the use of this number, it is simply a necessity/inherent due to the binary format of all computers/transmission. (0 & 1, digital on or off) Only very old computer geeks/origional designers from 40’s or so remember this, bit of trivia.
When the computer stuff was being housed and developed to keep track of the world, in Belgem the computer was so difficult that it was commonly refered to as “the beast” not for religious purpose but rather, politely refered to the beast rather cuss words.
Social Security Number? Is it one of the marks of the beast too? Old Testiment; God told David not to nymber his men, he cold count the numbers of men but not to number them with a number, name only and how many.
The New Testiment; says there will be a time where you can not buy or sell without the mark of the beast…..computer transmission?…..try buying or selling without a Social Security Number?! By the way big settlement outside of court so no public record or trials (rarely), for those who are fired or not hired because they do not or will not get a SS#.
SS# are pledged to the Federal Reserve, (not a Federal gov. bank of the USA & People, but a private bank owned by the worlds wealthy bankers. President Kenedy and Texes business men and others tried to do away with the Federal Reserve (as well as Abraham Lincoln)and bring control of the money ino the control of the USA Gov. & people. In 1963 the first new monies were printed outside of the Federal Reserve, note the long ago gone Blue & Red seal (backed by gold/silver/USA assets) on the front of currency, ALL money today is Green seal (Federal Reserve, backed by SS#). June 1963 was the first printing of President Kennedy “RED” seal currency and immediately after his murder, all that money was recalled and removed from circulation, WHY?
