TO: Alisa, Will, Ian, Brigit, Susan, Roxanne and MButler;

As we are all painfully aware of what we know, we share as well our mortal limitations-

Peace and Love is not a fashion, it is an ignorant remover that gladdens the earth space and makes you and I a realization for another day!

"How many times have you seen the birds fly on bye? How many times have you seen me cry?
How many times have you expressed your love to me, saying there's just not enough flowers for thee? How many times, how many times?" (1)

"You've got to be moving on - maybe you love me and that's the truth!!!" (1).

Another method to hold our hands - outstreached for you and you and you.

You are "my friends until the end. You are my joy, you are my youth - you are my friends, 'til the end." (2).

"Head over heels for you - and you're melting my heart - it's true.
Why have I not seen this beauty before now..." (2)

"Long have I hid behind my eyes.
Oh! My heartaches, Oh! my heartbreaks...
Your hands are healing, your body so warm...look at all the stars in the sky." (2).

"We will always be together, but if we're not...I can remember too, your eyes how they sparkle, your hair how it shines..." (2).

"Your hands are healing..." (2)

"Most tender love...head over heels for you." (2)
"Yes, I'm head over heels for you...you're melting my heart it's true...head over heels for you." (2).

Love is deeper, love is pure...peace is fleeting so capture it. When you have attained LOve, it is our gain.

This is an enlighten interview and thank you for this.
I know that WE generation has to spread out Love, Light and Peace on this Earth.
How?
We are over 50's and we need to pass on to the younger generations on this long range goal for peace.
To teach them for a better world to live with Love and Freedom.

What can I say? It is because you continue to have your finger on the socio-political zeitgeist button that those of us who have joined Civic - and are privileged to call you "friend" - are here brainstorming and staying active, even if all we have time for is "spreading the word." As you note, fear is not only the antithesis of "love, peace and freedom," but is self-sustaining once it is successfully used as a tool for control. Unless and until we get rid of fear - in the hearts and minds of the average person - there can be little movement toward loftier, even if attainable, goals.

Anyway, great interview.

Ultimately, the 60's generation needs to pass the mantle and remind this generation to pay attention. It is the great battle of darkness vs light. Time again to look the devil in the eye and remind our youth to simply not take the candy from the strangers. We have to keep a candle in the window burning so they don't wander off into the darkness, as a lost society of complacent drones on a dead planet.

Well, politicians never make a difference because they are beholden to the lobbies. That's what we need to do away with. Level the playing field by having candidates get equal time in organized media debates. there is a hunger for positive spiritual messages in the arts - executive fear monger money makers in search of replicating other successes glut the market - but there are meaningful films and uses of media that will prliferate and people will respond to them because they are starving for spirituality.

Must paraphrase from a teacxhing of Sogyal Rinpoche:
To serve the world out of the dynamic union of wisdom and compassion would be to participate most effecively in the preservationof the planet. Masters of all the religious traditions on earth now understand that spiritual training is essential not solely for monks and nuns but for all peoples, whatever their faith or way of life. The nature of spiritual development is intensely practical, sctive and effective. The danger we are all in together makes it essential now that we no longer think of spiritual development as a luxury, but as a necessity for survival.
As a famous Tibetan teaching says, "When the world is filled with evil, all mishaps should be transformed into the path of enlightement."

Thanks for sharing the more personal communiques, Michael & Steven. I think we all must live each day as if it were truly our last, because it reall could be - be brutally compassionate and love each other, because in the end of everything, we're only equal to the love we have given ... ~Alisa
