Who knew? This has major implications for a society. ie if mother watches a soap opera, after birth, the infant recognizes the theme song, or if mom eats licorice in pregnancy, after birth the infant does not find if offensive, or if mom is starving the infant grows up predisposed to adult issues with heart disease and obesity, and finally, if mom has too much stress ie pstd the child manifests this as an adult as well in the form of hyper-awareness and fast emotional responses! Everything from mom's heart beat to what sounds, emotions, and foods, etc she is exposed to, the child will learn and integrate into what it expects to find in the world it is being born into. This makes me wonder many things, ie if mom eats junk/fast food in pregnancy it that what the child learns is safest to eat after birth? It seems whatever mom does to adapt during pregnancy, to anything, the child is going to emulate one way or another. Then what about one generation to another? WOW, the implications go on and on...... As a society we should place a great deal more focus on how we care for all our mothers to assure strong children in the mind & body health growing into disease free, emotionally healthy adults. Unfortunately, this does not appear to be in the immediate future of our world. Still we must do what we can in our own circles, hopefully, growing ever larger over time....bill altmillerPosted by Michael Butler, Tuesday, April 3, 2012

Frightening, the implications of this growth of hate groups. They are both the under-belly and the obvious side to a most dangerous trend. Politically they are the beginning of the end of democratic society. No one Democrat, Republican or Blue, Red can ignore the peril of these movements. They will either end in Civil War or another type of Slavery. "You have a Republic, if you can keep It". mbPosted by Michael Butler, Sunday, March 25, 2012
