This might use up the excess carbon dioxide in the air, but it would do nothing towards counteracting the pollution from gasoline powered motor vehicles. We would continue to live in smog filled cities with all the health implications that has.
Posted on 20-Feb-08 at 1:53 am | PermalinkMore and more, the thinking seems to be that the power base has to be nuclear. I shake in my shoes to think of thousands of nuclear fission power plants, but that seems the likely scenario for the next fifty years. If we survive that, hopefully by then nuclear fusion will be ready to take their place and the world will become a safer place again.
