It is facinating the stock put behind whether a certain politician endorsed the war on Iraq or not. This somehow seems to count more than what they would do about it today.
We were all (including US politicians) fed the most colossal dose of horse pucky regarding the necessity of going to war against Sadaam. Given that undeniable fact, it is entirely appropriate for any person to change their mind on the issue at a later date.
What to do under the present circumstances is what matters and what the electorate should consider foremost in their deliberations.

Thank you for that. In the blogosphere, Hillary’s vote for the Iraq war resolution is, for many (too many) people the be-all and end-all of who she is, what is about, etc. Even setting aside the fact that even Obama admitted that he could not say with absolute certainty that he would have voted against it had he been in the Senate at the time, no one seems to care that he DID vote to continue funding the war, exactly as Hillary did. In fact, when I bring this up to his supporters, they tell me that this is “different” than having voted for the resolution in the first place. The do not see the inconsistency in their logic.

    Peace.

Good points. I really don’t buy the condemnation of Hillary’s vote. Too many good people voted for the war because they believed the Bush lies. I never understood why she soes not say that.
It is wanting a new scene which makes me favor Obama.
