    Once again, a misleading title. It is not “sugar” that is “killing us sweetly,” because table sugar is sucrose. As the article – and all of the linked studies – indicates, it is “added sugar” – fructose, particularly in the form of HFCS – that is “killing us sweetly.” There is very little harm in table sugar. There is GREAT harm in HFCS and other high-FRUCTOSE (not sucrose) sugars.
