    I’ll add another interesting thing about cyberspace: it can help “compartmentalize” things.

    For example, there are topics and issues (mostly political and religious) that my family will discuss only via e-mail, since it eliminates (or at least limits) the capacity for “emotional” argument. To mangle a common phrase, what goes on in cyberspace stays in cyberspace.

    This allows the potentially “heated” debates to stay separate and apart from our “real world” interactions, which remain completely cordial and loving.

    It is an interesting phenomenon.
