As an aside, it occurs to me that New York – which is being drubbed (and possibly sued by the feds) for its foot-dragging on changing over from its older machines to electronic voting – has actually done the right thing (albeit unwittingly) by NOT changing over yet, especially given the recent revelations re the testing of voting machines, and now the move away from unreliable, non-paper-trail methods.
