Bush spaces out during Sputnik moment

Dwight Eisenhower initially pooh-poohed Sputnik, but a few years later, thanks to the nation’s first presidential science adviser, NASA was founded. George Bush has ignored climate change, indeed all science, with disastrous results for US competitiveness in research and with the effects of global warming about to smack us all. One can hope that something like NASA will develop aimed at climate change, but one should not hold one’s breath under this know-nothing administration…BS
