Freshman Senator (D-VA) Jim Webb’s rebuttal to Bush’s State of the Union speech had none of the focus group pablum usually served up by politicians these days. Like him or not, Reagan used a clear prose style that left the listener convinced that Reagan stood for something and meant what he said. Webb’s style was similar, hopefuly a new trend in openness and clarity…BS
