Tate Modern – A symbol of Britain as it would like to be. Alain de Botton (Telegraph)

I will shortly be posting an article about Britain’s inevitable (?) decline as a heavyweight in the world arena. We have had these ups and downs over the past 1,600 years since the Romans left and the dark ages came upon us for the next 400 years. It is all relative and history shows that the balance of power always changes but from the limited chronological perspectives of our own life spans we don’t always realize this and find readjustment hard.

This article indicates an intelligent and likeable way for Britain to metamorphose into its next stage of evolution. I have always rated Alain de Botton very highly.
