NYT: 3,000 Deaths in Iraq, Countless Tears at Home

More Americans have died in Iraq now than did on 9/11. And the number keeps rising – to say nothing of American injuries (in the tens of thousands) and Iraqi civilian deaths and injuries (in the hundreds of thousands).
