even an electric car run on coal power is more environmentally friendly than burning a tank of gas

of course wind, small hydro, solar and geothermal are all waiting in the wings – problem is the entrenched energy giants want to stay with oil/gas/coal for as long as they can

a good source of info on this is the doc “Who Killed the Electric Car”
