And check this out –

the Radio-Television News Directors Association claims that the [FCC] investigation [into VNUs] has had a “chilling effect” on newsrooms, and that any attempt to ensure VNR disclosure would impose a “particularly onerous” burden on stations.

The fact that there’s even a debate about this and that the guilty parties aren’t running for cover should give us all pause … seems like certain ideological camps don’t care about keeping up even the appearance of integrity anymore.
