Super article on the astounding level of denial and self-deception and – yes – hubris of President Bush and his circle of advisors, who listen only to their friends and shut their minds against their opponents, and who believe steadfastly that the world’s only superpower cannot be defeated. It makes the deceptions of self and of the public by Nixon and LBJ around the Vietnam War look like Good Government Practices by comparison. Wild stuff, but very, very dark…BS
