NYT: For $150, Third-World Laptop Stirs Big Debate
Despite what might seem obvious (since he didn’t think of it, and Microsoft is not making it), I am surprised that Bill Gates is leading the charge against this. Given his advocacy for Third World health and education, I would think he would rally behind this, not try to squelch it.
