Part reminiscence of Vietnam’s echoes in the Iraq war, part book review of “State of Denial”, this is one of the best I have seen on the unlearned lessons of Vietnam, and the consequences in the unjust war our country is mired in today. King is in a uique position to write about this with wisdom and experience, as the Editorial Director of the Post (and a masterful writer himself), former war correspondent and former State Department employee during the Vietnam era.
