Kevin McKiernan is an Iraq war correspondent for ABC News and author of “The Kurds: A People in Search of Their Homeland.” Here he exposes the story of retired Air Force General Joseph Ralston, sent by the Bush administration to represent US interests as a Special Envoy to Turkey, which is locked in a prolonged armed struggle with the PKK, the Kurdish separatist militia. This reeks of another Bush-Cheney smarmy deal: Ralston is on the board of Lockheed Martin, the company that makes the jets the Turkish government buys to bomb the Kurds…UGH!…BS
