Matt Taibbi in Rolling Stone
Matt Taibbi is a brilliant new writer with a regular blog in Rolling Stone. Here he gives it to the Democrats, deservedly, for putting us all to sleep – and Joe Biden specifically for selling out the soldiers in Iraq (and us) to his buddies at the credit card companies.
During the 2004 election Taibbi wrote a hysterical series in the New York Press called “Wimblehack”, pitting all the political reporters against each other, NCAA tournament style, to see who could be the worst, most predictable, willfully obtuse, etc. Each week he’d decide who would go on to the next round based on how bad that week’s piece was, the worst one advancing, ripping into each report .. very satisfying. Elisabeth Bumiller of the NY Times and Howard Fineman of Newsweek made it to the Finals with Bumiller taking the crown.
