The Unique Crisis/Opportunity facing Obama

Martin Wolff in today’s FT writes an excellent article on what he thinks the incoming president should consider doing. It is well worth reading. The opportunity for Obama is that the currrent mega-crisis we are facing may force US voters to accept solutions, which although vital and certainly healthy long term have always been politically unpalatable hitherto. One of these (and there are many others) would be a fuel consumption tax more in line with the the rest of the world.
I hope he has the stomach for it.
