For me, the article’s #1 reason has always been the most important. Alcohol is implicated in ~400,000 deaths annually, in the U.S. alone. (Cirrhosis, drunk driving, etc.) Yet in all of recorded history, there has not been a single confirmed case of death directly attributable to marijuana use, unless the marijuana was “tainted” with something else (e.g., PCP). BTW, this can also be applied to the marijuana vs. tobacco debate; i.e., tobacco is implicated in over 500,000 deaths annually in the U.S. alone (cancers, heart disease, emphysema, etc.).
