it’s $3.75! -why don’t they just say $3.75? we all know why because subconsciously we think that $3.74.9 isn’t $3.75!

And while we’re at it……$33.99 isn’t $33.99 is $34!

Cars that are priced at $25,999 or not $25k they are $26,000!!

“But Wait there’s more….”
“If you call in the next 10 minutes….”
“Operators are standing by…”
“This is a limited time offer…”
“Supplies are limited!…”
“This is a $200 value for only $19.95…..”
“Call now and we’ll give you a second one for free just pay shipping and handling!”

And as transparent as all of this is, middle amerika, those we refer to as “the great amerikan unwashed”, (the market that buys Gia-pet), falls for this nonsense, repeatedly.
If they didn’t, advertisers wouldn’t try to use this obvious ploy to get the public to buy their crap!
Look-it’s all a numbers racket-the more people you have exposed to your product, the more suckers there are who are exposed to this bullshit and television is the way you increase those exposure numbers.

It’s one of the dynamics that makes a place like NYC so interesting. Because there are so many people in such a small area, the chances of you seeing something really weird are pretty good.
So if you can expose as many people as possible to what it is you are selling, the chances of finding enough people who will fall for your sales pitch and buy your junk are magnified.
Think of it-there are enough people in this country dumb enough to fall for those phone sales pitches and actually believe that they are buying a piece of junk ( “a $200 value”) for only $19.95!.
And there are so many of these suckers out there, that they keep marketing this junk and the great amerikan unwashed just keep buying it!
If they weren’t buying it in profitable numbers, the marketers wouldn’t sell it the way they do. But it works! So they actually tell the amerikan public that “this is a limited time offer” (limited only by the number of pieces of junk they can sell to millions of suckers) and they make money. Allot of money.
And of course there is always the up-sell.
That’s right folks-just call one of those gia-pet numbers and watch them go to work on you. After all-you called in-now they try and sell you other crap-that’s the real process-they figure that if you called them, you are a ‘buyer’ a simpleton-and they will do everything they can to sell you more junk.

Oh yeah, by the way-when they advertise a “14 day free trial”-believe me you are not getting their product for free for 14 days!!
You will pay the entire amount up front and you will have 14 days to try it out and return it if you don’t like it. That is what they mean by ‘free trail’. Do you actually believe that they would ship thousands of their product to people all over the country for free for 14 days??! Are you crazy?

Hey, is it my imagination or do you find trash thrown from moving cars along the roadside (where amerikans think that the planet is their personal garbage can) articles that best represent the intelligence level of those individuals who throw trash out of their cars?
To put it simply, do you find more Budweiser beers cans/bottles on the side of the road as opposed to say, Heineken?
Do you tend to see more Taco Bell or McDonald’s trash than you see, say of Whole Foods?
And while I’m at it, the term is not ‘dis-information’ that the Right is so expert at confusing the amerikan public with, the correct term is, lies. People who use Dis information are nothing more than liars.

Consider this-when you buy gas for the car and you are using the pump and you go over by 1 or 2 cents and you think, “oh so what.”
Well, 10,000,000 car owners a day, doing the same thing, thinking the same thing, generates $100,000.00 a day from those pumps that charge 1 cent more because you weren’t quick enough to kill the pump.
That’s $36,500,000 a year in “oh so whats”!
This is why you don’t have pumps that are set to fill your tank to a specific amount anymore.

Now let me just say that I, like everyone else, feels badly, very badly about the Boston Marathon bombing. I don’t think that I can add anything more than what has already been printed about the horrific and senselessness of all of this.
But, there is one thing that escapes me.
9,000 cops! A war zone!
I watched hours and hours of the coverage of this terrible event. Brian Williams dedicated an entire evening new cast to it and prior to that news cast was on the air throughout the day.
Boston cops, MTA cops, State cops, cops from Newton, Somerville, Cambridge, Watertown, DEA, FBI, the military, Hummers, dogs. This was a manhunt unlike anything I have seen. Even the Kennedy assassination did not have these numbers-this intensity (maybe because we were all in shock or because whoever did kill Kennedy made sure that there was little coverage by the security community) but whatever…
Boston and all surrounding suburbs were on lock down. Millions of people, hiding in the homes, their basements. The streets like a ghost town and 9,000 trained personnel scoured those streets.
There had been a gun battle and one of the bombers was killer. The younger brother escaping in a barrage of over 200 round of bullets fired by highly trained safety personnel.
The postponement of the Rd Sox game, the Bruins, million and millions of dollars lost, children frightened, post-traumatic stress for all sorts of people.
9,000 cops!!!
Could not find one untrained, frightened 19 year old kid.
Look, I would be the first to mourn the loss of the policeman who they shot, the people whose lives they irreparably ruined, changed, ended.
But through all of this, no one has asked the question. How could a frightened 19 year old kid elude 9,000 cops.
The cops didn’t find the kid.
A home owner happened to see blood on his driveway and blood on the tarp covering his boat and called it in. Ok, this was just ”outside of the famous 20 block area”. Something the cops in their sweep of the area missed? Come on folks, 9000 cops, dog’s DEA, FBI, etc., etc., etc.???
Can someone clarify this for me?

Afghanistan is the second highest resource for lithium… so if you think our involvement there is about the Taliban…think again.
At the end of the first gulf war, millions of tons of explosives were buried in the dessert by the US army. Too expensive to ship back to the states. Within 24 hours, satellite imagery clearly showed tire tracks from trucks that had driven out to the bury sites.
The Ide road side bombs, being triggered by remote control or cell phone, killing US personnel, were supplied by the US forces from the first gulf war.

Let’s talk School Buses-They are incredibly loud (try waking down a NY street when they go by-the only thing on the road louder than a school bus is a fire engine siren), they spew carbon monoxide out of their antiquated exhaust systems by the ton, they jam up traffic causing millions of cars each day throughout the country to have to stop and wait as they on load and off load children every few yards (twice daily) wasting untold millions of gallon of gas and causing the idling cars behind them to waste gas and spew more C02 into the air needlessly and most importantly, not one of those over-sized, smelly, loud, wasteful vehicles have a seat belt in them! What goes on???
Now I grant you-a single school bus takes up less space environmentally than the number of cars it would take to get the same number of kids to school and back each day-granted. For that reason alone, I suppose having a school bus is better. But, seat belts, newer up to date busses, fewer bus stop that are better and safer. I think the cost of a single stealth bomber would pay for all of that, don’t you?”

Let’s speak of toll booths and unnecessary stop lights-carbon emissions and wasted gas
We need to re-think the paradigm.
Look folks, every work day (5 per week, mostly) and every weekend when the traffic can be as high if not higher on our country’s major roads, has an enormous impact environmentally overall. But for the purpose of this particular rant, let’s simply take on the stupid concept of the toll booth. Let’s take a day like July 4th or any other Holiday where the celebration, for the purpose of this exercise, falls on a weekend. Let’s take a look at say Interstate Route 95. The big north south monster that runs from Maine to Florida.
Generally on the Friday evening before and on the Sunday after, sections of this highway are literally a parking lot for mile and miles. In fact as far as the eye can see, there are cars idling, spewing CO2 in huge clouds rising up into the atmosphere and wasting millions and millions of gasoline.
Why-they are waiting to pay a toll. A toll booth with maybe 12 at best 15 working booths.
It’s a joke.
Ok-yes, the income is sizable-no doubt- but now, with our technology there is absolutely no reason whatsoever that everything can be done electronically-no stopping-everyone has a EZ Pass or everyone gets billed monthly. There is a simple effective and financially rewarding way to change this antiquate paradigm.

BLOWING TWISTERS
Look- some twisters/tornadoes are just top big-a mile wide these giants are all about getting under ground where it is relatively safe or simply kissing your ass good bye. But what about the smaller tornadoes? -they do allot of damage and can also kill people, destroy property, etc.

What do you think would happen if you shot a rocket, perhaps a stinger, a ground to air missile into a twister-set it to explode when it reaches the twister and it blows apart the connection between the sky cover and the ground. Do you think it could work?!
They often use of explosives to put out oil fires as it deprives them of oxygen maybe if you blew apart the twister it would stop it. What are your thoughts on this?
Almost all modern armed forces had short-range missiles mounted on trucks or light armour that could move with the armed forces they protected. Examples include the 2K12 Kub (SA-6) and 9K33 Osa (SA-8), MIM-23 Hawk, Rapier, Roland and Crotale.
Smaller missiles, especially MANPADs, generally use infrared homing guidance systems. These have the advantage of being “fire-and-forget”, once launched they will home on the target on their own with no external signals needed. In comparison, SARH systems require the tracking radar to illuminate the target, which may require them to be exposed through the attack. All SAM systems from the smallest to the largest generally include identified as friend or foe (IFF) systems to help identify the target before being engaged. IFF is not as important with MANPADs where the target is almost always visually identified prior to launch, but most modern MANPADs do include IFF.
The FIM-92 Stinger surface-to-air missile has been in use by the U.S. military since 1981. Light, portable and easy to use, the “Stinger Missile” fires on aircraft in the sky from soldiers on the ground. The Stinger Missile is typically mounted on the shoulder of a soldier. It can hit aircraft traveling at nearly 16,000 feet. The U.S. military has confirmed that Stinger Missiles have destroyed 270 aircraft over the past 29 years.
Stinger Missiles are also mounted onto High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWV) or Humvees and helicopters. Stinger missiles mounted onto helicopters are known as air-to-air missiles.
The Stinger Missile and launcher weigh about 30 pounds. Relatively compact at 1.5 meters long and 70 millimeters in diameter, the Stinger Missile can be easily transported in a range of environments such as jungle, dessert and arctic.

The Stinger Missile is now manufactured by Waltham, Massachusetts-based Raytheon Missile Systems. Each Stinger Missile costs about $40,000.00 to purchase.
There is currently an inventory of about 15,000 Stinger Missiles in the U.S.

It is estimated that 7.6 million people died due to various forms of cancer and the projections show that 13% of all deaths are due to this disease.
In recent years, National Cancer Institutes’ budget has been relatively flat, averaging approximately $4.9 billion per year over the past 6 years.
Considering the fact that over $6 Billion is spent on Advertising campaigns, marketing, pink products, and more for JUST breast cancer, there really is no way of knowing exactly how much is raised, though it is estimated to be in the hundreds of billions of dollars.
it’s no wonder that so many people are asking how much money is spent on cancer research? Well there really isn’t an exact answer due to the fact that several companies have different funding and others give private donations.

Now this has been going on for much longer than I have been alive and that is running a strong 63 years-translating into Billion if not Trillions of dollars and you’re telling me that Radiation and chemo-therapy is what we have so far?!
Poisoning our bodies is our cure at this point?!
Look, I know I don’t know what I am talking about here and I know much more is involved, but if so, the Cancer people are doing a lousy PR job, cause all I can surmise is that Chemo and Radiation is all they’ve come up with as THE basic cure. Remember that for the pharmaceutical industry (the most powerful lobby in the country-even more powerful than oil by a long shot) and in many instances the medical community- cures are not the goal. Treatment is. Long term, expensive, chemical treatment. It’s what makes amerika run! Hundreds of thousands of jobs-universities, professors, specialized teaching schools, hospitals, support staff, food, ambulances, medicines, clinics, nurses, rehab, sheet, pillows, laundry, insurance, the big pharmaceutical companies: Merck, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, the medical device companies, artificial limbs, chemicals, medicines, laboratories, petrie dishes and test tubes, psycho-analysis, depression, funerals, florists, the effected list is long and worth a fortune.
In amerika it is often not about the cause, the ethic or the morals. If you want to know why something happens, why things are done the way they are done….
