Egypt Clusterf**k

a sample of Democracy Now’s Sharif Abdel Kouddous‘ tweets from Tahir Square,

“Mubarak launched a coordinated campaign of violence today to take the streets of Cairo back from the people” .. “I’m inside Tahrir. It looks like a war zone .. Went inside a makeshift clinic set up inside a mosque in Tahrir. Injuries include stab wounds, gunshot wounds, and many broken bones” .. “This is the front line of the battle between the popular uprising and the Mubarak regime & the pro-democracy forces are holding their ground”

listening to Al Jazeera live video feed and there are snipers randomly shooting protesters in the head .. this is some dark shit .. incredibly journalists from Wash Post, NY Times etc being arrested and news crews from CNN (Anderson Cooper), ABC, BBC etc all report being attacked – if Mubarek factions maintain their grip on power as some are predicting (since the military has not intervened in the violence), not sure how The West can whitewash this atrocity, even with a compliant corporate media and all the political double speak we’re hearing from Clinton, Blair, etc – how do you maintain “stability” when everyone is bearing witness to this criminality? .. oh and by the way Wikileaks was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize – mab
