Re the rape charge against Assange, this is so transparently a “dirty trick” that I cannot believe anyone would buy into it. Sadly, however, it is exactly the kind of thing that has successfully “taken down” (i.e., sidelined or made irrelevant) so many journalists and muckrakers in the past.
