Blogs, Unions, MoveOn et al are Primary-ing Blanche Lincoln in Arkansas
Corporatist Dem senator (and public option filibusterer) Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas is being challenged in the Dem primary by a guy named Bill Halter, the lieutenant governor, who supports a medicare buy-in. In 48 hours MoveOn, the blogosphere and the unions have raised over $5 million dollars for Halter (MoveOn/blogs $1 mill, unions $4 mill). Jane Hamsher of Firedoglake and Markos Moulitsas of Daily Kos are blogging about it constantly, putting their considerable weight behind the effort.
