The idea of a truly “grassroots” movement that remains so is quaint – and utterly naive. Any movement that does not have leaders – whether de facto, titular or otherwise – is a movement without stated – much less realistic and achievable – ideas and goals. If the Coffee Party wants to separate itself from the Tea Party, it MUST develop a “platform” – and a very specific, concrete one. A movement is (or at least should be) defined by what it supports, not JUST by what it is against.
