Economist.com Company size Big is back

"Corporate giants were on the defensive for decades. Now they have the advantage again" The joke will probably be on us, the people. Read the article posted earlier on Civic about the administration becoming trust busters. I fear it is a joke to assuage the people that the corporatocracy is still not in control. It is all about money. Who finances the electoral process! mb

Sibel Edmonds Says Bin Laden Was Working for CIA Right Up To 9/11

I found this on a blog devoted to all things Sibel Edmonds called Against All Enemies .. former FBI translator Edmonds was on former Air America DJ Mike Malloy's radio show (guest hosted by Brad Friedman of BradBlog) and she described how, right up to Sept 2001, in order to control central Asian energy resources (Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, i.e. the "Stans" .. oh and, um .. China) we used al Qaeda and the Taliban in the same manner "as we did during the Afghan and Soviet conflict," that is, fighting 'enemies' via proxies ... the "proxy" in this case was a Turkey/Taliban/al-Qaeda alliance .. anyhoo, i myself marveled over how quickly the "hunt for Bin Laden" fell off the media radar - mab .. read more

"The Democrats may have little choice but to adopt a high-risk, go-it-alone, majority-rules strategy to enact health care reform this year" (Editorial); "How do those who fear death panels feel about a health care system that breaks apart families?" (Kristof); "In 1986, the bipartisan trade-off was marginal tax rates and eliminating special-interest loopholes. In 2009, it should be tort reform and universal coverage" (Bradley); "What the president can learn from the previous administration’s failure to fix Social Security" (Guest Op-Ed); "To reopen cases of abuses inflicted upon detainees by Central Intelligence Agency employees does not look much like justice; it looks like politics" (Guest Op-Ed); "The misperceptions about the return of Abdel Basset Ali al-Megrahi must not be allowed to impair improved relations between Libya and the West" (Guest Op-Ed).
