What a lie! Brzezinski IS Obama’s key foreign policy advisor, and has been since mid-September. Obama’s attempts to distance himself are not just political expedience, but outright lie. He claims that he has only spoken with ZB a couple of times and sent a couple of emails. Poppycock.
Every MSM outlet – The NY Times, L.A. Times, Boston Globe, Chicago Trib, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, CNN, MSNBC – have been continuously referring to ZB as part of Obama’s foreign policy team – as either “top” advisor or “key” advisor – for MONTHS, with NO corections from Obama or his campaign. Indeed, even Samanatha Power acknowledged ZB’s presence on “the team” in at least one interview. As well, here are just three alternative media comments on this, all published shortly after Obama himself named ZB to his foreign policy team:
“Barack Obama has been criticized by pro-Israel forces…for naming Zbignew Brzezinski, Jimmy Carter’s National Security advisor, as one of his foreign policy gurus.†(September 13, 2007, The Volokh Conspiracy)
“Let’s call Barack Obama what he is — a sock puppet for the ruling elite. Obama made this plainly obvious recently when he tapped Zbigniew Brzezinski as his top foreign policy adviser.†(September 15, 2007, Moderate Observer)
“Senator Obama is standing by one of his top foreign policy advisers, Zbigniew Brzezinski, despite concerns that aligning with the former aide to President Carter will undermine Mr. Obama’s support with the pro-Israel community.†(September 13, 2007, New York Sun)
I could provide DOZENS more.
So let’s all step back and understand that Obama is no angel, that he lies (including his blatant lie during an earlier debate about having only “one” connection to Rezko), that he makes decisions based on political expediency, that he dissembles, spins and obfuscates just like any other politician. That he is, in short, no different from Hillary in these regards.
The Obamamaniacs better take off their Barack-tinted spectacles and start realizing that their candidate is NOT (you’ll pardon the expression) lily-white – that he is, in fact, just as prone to acting like a politician – and all that that entails, including “hypocrisy” – as any other politician.
