This obviously relates to the Bush promoted legistlation regarding regional control that the Iraqi Parliament have just thrown out, and which is inadequately reported on in another of your postings today (Iraqi leaders Veto Law Bush Administration Hailed As Political Breakthough).
Posted on 29-Feb-08 at 2:53 am | PermalinkThis is not a points scoring, party political excercise, this is about getting the balance right, and without a clear picture of what the Iraqi Parliament is attempting to achieve, there is no hope of gaining any real perspective, although the dangers of ‘conflagration’ are abundantly clear.
It is almost as if those reporting want that ‘conflagration’ to happen, just to show what a bozo Bush is. A high price for Iraqis to pay for a righteous States-side ‘I told you so’, rather than some sensible, clear reporting setting out the Iraqi position.
