There is one thing missing in all of this, and that is ‘why?’
Posted on 25-Feb-08 at 2:37 am | PermalinkYugoslavia fell apart with the death of Tito, and genocide was rampant. something had to be, and has been done, imperfect as it inevitably is.
One cannot cite oil as the motive, or strategic position. At the end of the day, this has been a policing operation, carried out to keep the inhabitants from each others throats.
The article also fails to mention that 90% of Kosovo’s population is Albanian, who of course want this independence. We shall see if it sticks.
