What is missing here is any discussion of whether ANYONE – including Edwards – CAN (even if they are willing to try) make a dent in this. Corporations run the world, not politicians. It may sound defeatist, but I cannot help but believe that the transnationals – “Big” Oil, Pharma et al – are already FAR too big and FAR too powerful for even an Edwards to have any MAJOR effect.
Certainly it does not hurt to try, and perhaps Edwards is the person most likely to. But I am not sanguine about his, or anyone else’s, chances.
