Come on in, Mike. It could be a wild ride.
By Edward J. Rollins | Sunday, June 24, 2007 | The Washington Post
A sekf0funded third party run for the presidency by New York mayor Michael Bloomberg “…would make this already incredibly unpredictable campaign even more incredible and unpredictable. It could also turn out to be a good thing for American democracy…Bloomberg is one of the nation’s most popular and effective politicians — and also one of the least ideological.”…BS

Rollins, of course, is THE Republican political advisor. And he gives himself away when he asks, “So would Bloomberg’s race as an independent doom another Republican to defeat? Or would his candidacy raise the level of discourse?”
Note that he DOESN’T ask, “So would Bloomberg’s race as an indepedent doom another Democrat to defeat?” – which is what Nader actually did.
Of course Rollins wants Bloomberg to run; because he knows that it would siphon votes NOT from the Republicans, but from the Democrats.
I hope Bloomberg – who is a Democrat in all but name – comes to his senses and does not end up putting McCain, Giuliani, Thompson or any other Republican in the White House.
Peace.
