Scold War Buildup: The perils of foreign policy by report card

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/08/31/AR2006083101438.html

In this Washington Post op-ed piece, retired Foreign Service office John Hamilton makes a very persuasive case that we have a bigger image problem abroad than the misbegotten “War on Terrorism” and the failed Iraq campaign foisted on us by a mendacious White House: an even bigger problem, brewing for the last 30 plus years, is the way the US has unilaterally appointed itself Policeman and Critic of the world.

Brief, succinct and excellent. A plus with three gold stars for insight…BS
