George Soros, financier and philanthropist, is more than that: he is morphing into a fearless thinker and careful donor to causes that have practical benefits. He is also, more than ever, a deep thinker and true idealist. For example, he is the author of “The Age of Fallibility: Consequences of the War on Terror.” Here, in a very compact and beutifully written article, he summarizes the main idea of that excellent book: the whole war-on-terror concept oversimplifies the problem and embraces military action at the expense of any hope of a political solution. Well worth reading. Hot stuff…BS
