Dear all,
I came across this book tonight, written by researchers at “Popular Mechanics” after they had already published a lengthy article refuting conspiracy claims for events of 9/11. Some of you are interested in this topic, so here’s the web site.

And from a friend in Texas, here is a link to some letters, plus one letter embedded herein that were written by a pilot, another man who was in the Pentagon when the plane hit, and aviation experts:
The article, then the web site with other articles:
Sir, I don’t even know where to start with you about the 757 hitting the Pentagon. I saw the remains of the engines in the North parking lot of the Pentagon as well as melted aluminum and other debris left from the aircraft. When the 757 hit the reinforced concrete and steel shell of the Pentagon, it exploded as you can see in the time lapsed photography on the MSNBC site. It fractured into small pieces and then the jet fuel burned at over 3000 degrees fahrenheit and reduced what was left to ash and puddled melted aluminum blobs. That is why almost 50 bodies have not been found and never will be. They were reduced to ash. You need to educate yourself on the physics of catastrophic aircraft accidents and why very little is left in high velocity, full fuel load crashes. I used to fly the F-4 Phantom, a 25 ton behemoth of a fighter jet that was built like a locomotive. Yet in high speed crashes, very little is ever recovered of it. I saw the remains of one Phantom that crashed at over 600 mph and the largest part left was the tailhook. Everything else was vaporized or reduced to parts no larger than your thumb. The pilot and weapons system officer were reduced to mist and we put what we found of them into 6000 ziplock sandwich bags.
You need to go to the US Air Force Flight Safety Office or the NTSB and ask for an education in the dynamics of aircraft crashes. Maybe then you will correct your ignorant column.

The Popular Mechanics has been widely refuted by college professors, physicists et al –

As for the Pentagon – four words..”Lets See the Video” – there’s been plenty of conflicting eyewitness accounts so lets see the videos they confiscated from the hotel across the street and the gas station and others – the one they put out a few months ago was a joke and really just confirmed our suspicions..every single news anchors says “this video confirms that a 757 hit the Pentagon blah blah blah” and then they show the video and you don’t see squat

The four books – which should be read in this order – are:
1. The Terror Timeline, by Paul Thompson. Using only mainstream media headlines and stories (i.e., those that the average American is likely to believe over “alternative” news), Thompson’s timeline shows that 9/11 could not have been an “accident” – even of government negligence and ineptitude – but had to be a “staged event.”
2. The New Pearl Harbor, by David Ray Griffin. Unquestionably the most thorough and respected 9/11 researcher, Griffin gives a history of “false flag” operations, including those by the U.S., and lays out solid support for 9/11 being such an operation: i.e., staged by our government but blamed on others.
3. The 9/11 Commission Report. As the old saying goes, “Know thy enemy.” It is critical that anyone who plans to discuss “9/11 truth” read this so that they are conversant with the government’s alleged support for its “official story.”
4. The 9/11 Commission Report: Omissions and Distortions, by David Ray Griffin. In this book, Griffin provides a virtual item-by-item rebuttal of claims made or “facts” given in the Report. He also discusses the serious conflicts of interest of most of the Commissioners, and the outrageous appointment of Bush devotee Philip Zelikow as Executive Director of the Commission.
This reading will take the average Civic member about two months or so. But it will give you years’ worth of solid information and support in discussing 9/11 truth with others.
Peace.
