NYT: What We’re Saying…[re Kos blog]
David Brooks (“Respect Must Be Paid,” column, June 25) bases his attack on Markos Moulitsas, the founder of the blog Daily Kos, on the supposition that Mr. Moulitsas is some sort of dictatorial leader and that we who visit his site are “rabid lambs.”
Sadly, Mr. Brooks doesn’t seem to realize that what is happening at places like Daily Kos is much bigger than one person or one ideology.
Unlike conservatives, we are a group of individual thinkers, many of whom disagree regularly and fervently with Mr. Moulitsas (and one another).
Even the Democratic leaders who visit the site need to have a thick skin.
Do we get kicked off the site for disagreement? No. It’s called democracy, and a few of us would like to give it an encore appearance in these United States.
