IMPORTANT: Personal Message from Ian re The Nation
I am not sure if any of the Civic editors have access to posting from The Nation. If not, everyone needs to pick up the current issue. It is the 10th Anniversary issue of “The National Entertainment State,” which provides an incredibly informative chart as to “who owns what” re media and entertainment – and how they are aligned with transnational and other corporations. It also contains extremely good essays by a wide variety of progressives.
The information in the chart and essays is critical to any discussion on the state of media in the U.S. (and, to some degree, globally). It should be required reading for anyone who engages in discussions of that nature.
Peace.
