the mis en scene on the live shows the dramatic action etc
was first worked best ultimately in the film
same phenomena occurred i believe with the narrative of the film script
cabaret
as opposed to book of stage musical
i dont think the vehicle was as cogent or good onstage
as it was as movie
although now with movie elements available for incorporation etc
a stage version ( the last bdwy revival didnt look like much ) could hold
all kinds of interesting possibilites
