Well, I wasn't around then...I guess it's like how you have people like my
grandfather, who was watching football a couple of years ago and yelling
about how all the players and even the coach were black. (I think "shines"
was the actual term.) And he doesn't realize why I roll my eyes and get
pissy when he makes those comments.

To be honest with you, though, the "made the sacrifice to be in the Army"
part didn't cross my mind...now that I think about it, before Berger danced
on the table with Charlotte Rae, part of his argument was about how Claude
was going to be off fighting for his country.  That is a great point.

Actually, that was my misunderstanding...hers was the thing about horses. :)
